Critical Analysis of a Lecture Video-Recording Initiative

  • Portability issue in slideshare: some images missing because ppt was on produced on a MAC.
  • Streaming refers to video that plays while you are connected to the Internet, you can view while you download.
  • Video on the web, we can used them for teaching (E-Learning).
    • It’s not a new idea: Pre-web, lectures on TV (1960), lectures on videotapes (1980)
    • Costly, you need to do video production which requires proffesional person.
    • Boooooring, becoz there is no audience
    • Unpractical
    • Ineffective
  • Elearning:
    • Help traditional students, by providing material online
    • Support remote sudents
    • Make some activity faster
    • Change the way we teach
    • Create a business
  • Video help in suporting remote student, traditional student and make a business.
  • Adv for students:
    • better time management
    • recover lectures due to force absence
    • Review some critical point
    • check the correcness of notes
